THE COMPANY AND THE JOB

Over the last 20 years this business has gone from strength to strength to be at the forefront of their industry. Through consistent billing numbers, solid PSA relationships and senior management hires they are a pillar of strength in the APAC recruitment business with ambitious plans to grow the business with 6 more regional offices.

Based out of their Asia HQ in Singapore you will initially shadow the current MD and learn the way they do business while developing a succession plan for this person to then focus their efforts on setting up offices in their other target regions. You will initially inherit a small team but will be given budget to hire and develop the brand through slick marketing and branding initiatives. While juggling these tasks you will also lead by example on the ‘billing’ front kicking in big numbers and mentoring junior recruiters to get them to the next level. Down the line positions of South East Asia Head or even APAC MD may be possible and also a strong equity stake.

 

ABOUT YOU

This business has never acquired other firms to get to their current count of 10 offices and over 150 staff, they have always dug deep, worked hard, got to a stage where profits have given them the funds to grow again and again so the type of person who works here will be expected to show a strong work ethic and a drive to meet the long term vision. You will need to be capable of running a P&L and also have some exposure to contract recruitment as the business holds a number of high volume government accounts. Mentoring will be key to the role so you’ll be the kind of person who wants to help recruiters on the up and starting their career for the good of the firm not just for a cut of the deal. Personality wise it is a non-KPI’d environment so you’ll need the maturity to get on with the job and make things happen.
